Operation
Note: All digits display 8 for 1 second at power-up.

• 2-Wire hour meter displays and accumulates hours only when powered.
  Typical application: Pin 1 to ignition in a vehicle or switch in equipment and Pin 2 to grounding.
• 3-Wire hour meter with control pin displays recorded time, and begins to count hours when control pin is powered.
  Typical application: Apply DC+ or AC hot to pin + and DC- or AC neutral to pin –, the display is activated at this point but the elapsed time will not be accumulated until a signal is applied to pin 3.

          Note for proper operation: Power must be applied to pins + & – before or coincidently with pin 3.

  To operate: Apply DC+ or AC hot to pin 3 for 1/2 second minimum, the accumulation of elapsed time is indicated by the flashing hourglass icon. If power (pin+&-) has been applied for minimum 6 seconds, the accumulated time will be stored in non-volatile memory (EEPROM).

• 4-Wire hour meter follows the same instructions as to 3-Wire hour meter, and has the reset pin available.
  Typical application: Pin 4 is connected to ground via a reset switch, by which the operator can clear old memory and get the hour meter return to Zero.
